Although fragmented into a plurality of grants and projects (as usual with European academia), my research is characterised by a consistent, unifying thread: the intersection of metaphysics and natural philosophy dealing with the constitution of the bodily world. Since I have worked predominantly on premodern philosophy, this intersection is usually defined by one theory in particular: hylomorphism. Implementation of my past and present research projects has tackled the nuanced interdisciplinary. transcultural development of this interpretative tool and its manifold applications, amendments, and debates over time.
